This two bedroom cottage is situated at the end of a quiet private drive in the small village of St Marys. A small shop and post office are located a short walk away. There are a number of picturesque walks nearby, a children’s play park, public pier and slipway. There are also many lovely sandy beaches with sheltered places for swimming or other activities. Wildlife is right outside with seals regularly basking on the skerries below the house. Loch of Ayre is a popular birdwatching location with public hides and wooded walks to explore.
As well as fully controllable underfloor heating and triple glazing there is a mechanical ventilation system to ensure that the internal environment is as pleasant as possible. A vaulted ceiling gives a sense of spaciousness while the floor to ceiling gable window makes maximum use of daylight and sea views. There are two double bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower in. There is ample, almost level, free parking situated at the end of our private drive. Access paths are hard paved and level apart from a few steps down to the patio. Parking is adjacent to the main entrance and bedroom.
The main town of Kirkwall is an easy 14 minute drive away. A short walk takes you to the main road where you can catch frequent local services to Kirkwall and the rest of Orkney.
